Composite Strapping
What Is And Why Composite Strapping?
The composite corded strapping system, commonly known as CC, is a stiff polypropylene strip encasing a number of high tenacity polyester cords. The width of the strip and number of cords used there-in determines the break strength of the strapping. With this type of strapping a formed wire buckle is used to complete the system.
Composite strapping is a hand strapping system which because of its stiffness and abrasion resistance properties is favoured as an excellent safe alternative to steel banding. Best used for rugged loads such as stone, concrete, metal and forestry products
Composite Strapping is outstanding due to its excellent material characteristics.
- The core of our composite strapping is made of untwisted polyester yarn.
- More rigid than our Corded Polyester Strapping this type of strapping achieves higher strength and lower elongation.
- The rigidity means this strapping can be easily fed underneath pallets and through gaps.
- Our Polyester Composite Strapping is coated in Polypropylene, meaning it will last longer in wet conditions compared to steel banding.
- This special coating allows our Composite Cord Straps to be used in securing Chemical Goods.
- Due to its high abrasion protection, it is well-suited for products with rough surfaces and edges.
- Priced and sold per reel.
Composite Strapping Features:
- As strong as steel.
- No sharp edges that could damage your products.
- Cannot rust or rot.
- Resistant to all weather conditions and UV.
- High capacity to absorb shocks during transport, high retained tension due to its elastic elongation and memory even on contacting packages.
- Fast and easy to handle.
- High cross-directional strength.
- Weather Resistant
